Dora & Anni sind unsere Nachbarinnen. Wir freuen uns mit Ihnen, dass sie heute, 28.01.2020 zu einer grossen Reise aufbrechen. Und das ist die geplante Route von Dora & Anni in New Zealand. Bilder füge ich hier mit Ort und Datum ein, sobald ich sie bekomme.
Update: üblicherweise bekomme ich die Bilde so um 0200-0400h in der Nacht. Man verzeihe mir, falls ich allenfalls datummässig etwas durcheinander komme…
Dora & Anni are our neighbours. We are pleased with them that they are setting off on a great journey today, 28.01.2020. And this is the planned route of Dora & Anni in New Zealand. I will add pictures here with place and date as soon as I get them.
Update: usually I get the picture around 0200-0400h at night. Sorry for an date-confusion…

SUN – 10 APR – back in ZRH
Heute erwarten wir nun also unsere Globetrotter zurück. AnnA befand eben: «die sehen ganz anders aus, ganz glücklich!» So hoffen wir, dass auch die letzten Reiseminuten (aktuell kreist das Flugzeug überm Bodensee) gut vonstatten gehen und wir die zwei bald hier begrüssen dürfen. Wir mindestens sind bereit…
So today we expect our globetrotters back. AnnA just said: «They look very different, very happy!» So we hope that the last minutes of the trip (currently the plane is circling over Lake Constance) will go well and that we can welcome them here soon. At least we are ready…

SAT 09 APR – leaving Ohope Beach
Heute haben wir unser Paradies leider verlassen und sind nun auf dem Rückweg über Auckland-Doha nach Zürich. Letzte Eindrücke vom Weg! Mehr dann von daheim aus!
Today we unfortunately had to leave our paradise and are now on our way back to Zurich via Auckland-Doha. Last impressions of the way! More news to follow!
WED 08 APR – Ohope Beach
Good morning!
Nach 3h Marsch haben wir noch einen Eisvogel entdeckt. Welche Freude!Das mussten wir gleich mit etwas Gin begiessen. Dazu zwei Osterhäschen und 2 Cranberries-Scones, welche wir von Apt 42 erhalten haben.
After 3h march we discovered another kingfisher. What a joy! We had to celebrate it with some gin. In addition two Easter bunnies and 2 cranberries-scones, which we received from Apt 42.

So, die Ginflasche ist nun leer und wir haben nur noch ein kleines Whiskyfläschen zum desinfizieren – ach genau, Anni sagt, wir haben noch eine Flasche Rotwein.
So, the gin bottle is empty now and we only have a small bottle of whisky to disinfect – oh right, Anni says we still have a bottle of red wine.

TUE 07 APR – Ohope Beach Full moon
Fast voll ist der Mond – er begleitet uns einen Teil der Nacht direkt im Bett.
The moon is almost full – it accompanies us part of the night directly in bed.
Wir haben einen weiteren Tag im Paradies verbracht.
We spent another day in paradise.
MON 06 APR – Ohope Beach
Unser Dessert. Geht es uns nicht gut? Menü waren 4 Rüebli, 1 Bund Frühlingszwiebeln, 5 grosse Champignons und eine halbe Zwiebel mit Schinken garniert. 1 Glas Rotwein noch dazu! Jetzt sind unsere Bäuche voll und wir sind bald bettreif.
Anni meint, das Dessert sei ein Osterhase… well…
Our dessert. What lucky we are! Menu was 4 carrots, 1 bunch of spring onions, 5 large mushrooms and half an onion garnished with ham. 1 glass of red wine on top! Now our bellies are full and we are soon ready for bed.
Anni says the desert looks like an Easter bunny… well….
SUN 05 APR – Ohope Beach
Wollte Euch heute mal was anderes bieten, also nur Sand… ab heute hier Surf- und Schwimmverbot. Balkonia in der Dämmerung bis zum Sonnenuntergang eher kühl. Aber es lohnt sich!
I wanted to offer you something different today, just sand… Surfing and swimming is forbidden here from today. Balconia in the dusk until sunset rather cool. But it’s worth it!
Nachtrag: Der Test von Jost und Pauline ist negativ! Daraufhin haben wir grad noch einmal eine Runde gedreht!

FR 03 APR – Ohope Beach

Guten Morgen von der Terrasse mit wunderschönem Blick in die Ferne. Wir sind einfach unheimlich dankbar für unsere Auszeit, aber wir vergessen auch die Zuhause gebliebenen nicht. Gute acht – Dora in voller Sonnenblendung!
Good morning from the terrace with beautiful view into the distance. We are simply incredibly grateful for our time out, but we don’t forget the ones we stayed at home either. Good eight – Dora in full sunshine!
TUE 02 APR
Surprise 
Das EDA ist nun auch dahinter gekommen, dass die Quatar Air fliegt und lässt die gestrandeten Schweizer wissen, sie sollen sich dort erkundigen — nun wir haben bereits unsere Plätze reserviert. Die Zeiten vom Rückflug von Doha sind aber weiter nach hinten verschoben worden. Sobald wir das genauer wissen, teilen wir das mit…
Wir hoffen, dass Jost uns fahren darf. Dazu braucht er eine Ausnahmebewilligung. Er kann aber noch nicht um diese ersuchen, da er den CO19-Test machen lassen hat, weil er ja so erkältet war, als wir bei ihm waren. Pauline geht es immer noch nicht gut. Schauen wir mal – sonst haben wir dann wirklich ein Problem!
Auch heute waren wir 3h am Strand laufen. Ansonsten magere fotografische Ausbeute. Der Vulkan macht uns Sorgen: er hat praktisch gar nicht geraucht heute, so dass es einen Überdruck geben und er wie 2019 explodieren könnte.
The EDA (Federal department of foreign affairs) has now also found out that Quasar Air is still flying and let the stranded Swiss know that they should ask for a flight there — well, we have already reserved our seats. But the times of the return flight from Doha have been moved further back. As soon as we know more, we’ll let you know…
We hope Jost will be allowed to drive us. He needs a special permit for that. But he can’t ask for it yet, because he had the CO19 test done, because he had such a cold when we were with him. Pauline is still not well. Let’s wait and see !
Also today we were walking 3 hours on the beach. Apart from that, the photographic yield was very poor. The volcano worries us: it practically didn’t smoke at all today, so there is overpressure and he could explode like 2019.
WED 1st APR – Selfie Time
Heutzutage muss man Selfie können. Unbedingt. Das gilt auf für Dora und Anni in New Zealand.
You gotta know Selfie these days. You gotta be able to do Selfies yourself of course. That goes for Dora and Annie in New Zealand, too….
